Description
● A Sonometer helps students understand how a stretched wire produces sound and how that sound can be precisely changed.
● Comprises of a hollow wooden resonance box 1100 x 125 x 120mm (L x W x H) with 2 graduated meter scales running across the length of the box.
● Wires of 2 different diameters and materials are attached to the fixed bridge at one end and tensioned by wrest pins at the other end.
● A pulley mounted at the end supports a third wire over it with masses suspended to the wire end.
● Set includes 2 short and 2 long bridges for adjusting the length of the vibrating strings and 2 wires of 2 different materials of approx. 1.5m. (Does not include masses).
