Description
● An apparatus to illustrate the thermal expansion of solids.
● It comprises of a brass ring fitted to a wooden handle and brass ball secured to the brass ring rod by a chain.
● When cold the brass ball passes through the ring but when heated it does not pass through showing that solids expand when heated.
