Description
● To demonstrate the effect of a current flowing in a conductor in the presence of a magnetic field (Lorentz or Laplace force).
● Comprises of a U-magnet and a pair of brass rails fitted with 4mm sockets terminals. A brass axle with plastic discs is free to roll along the rails and completes the electrical contact between them.
● When connected to a power supply the axle is repelled and rolls along the rails
away from the centre of the magnetic field.
