Description
● Demonstrates how an alternating current in the primary circuit creates a time dependent magnetic field in the core, which in turn, induces an alternating current in the secondary circuit using the Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. The respective voltages are in the same ratio as the number turns.
● It has one coil of 2400 turns. This is the main coil, 230~240V, 50Hz.
● There are two interchangeable secondary coils of 65 turns and 130 turns, giving
outputs of 6 and 12V approx. At a maximum current of 2A.
● The laminated iron core is in 2 sections, ‘T’ and ‘U’ with butt joints.
● A simple channel and wing-nut clamping arrangement facilitates quick assembly
and interchanging of coils.
● The coils are would on insulating bobbins with a 2-pin connection for mains and
a 4mm socket for secondary outputs.
● The number of turns, voltage and ampereage are marked o each coil.
● Supplied complete with 2m of fleible wire and a 2-pin mains connector.
