Description
● An electric bell functions by means of an electromagnet so that when an electric current is applied, it produces a repetitive ringing sound.
● Comprises of electromagnet – made up of a coil of insulated wire wound an iron U-shape bar which attracts an iron strip armature with a clapper, mounted on a wooden board showing all the parts. The ringing sound effect comes from the frequent ‘make’ and ‘break’ circuit of the electromagnet.
● Two 4mm sockets are provided on the board for supplying 4 to 6V DC current.
