Description
● To demonstrate the formation of longitudinal and transverse progressive waves simultaneously.
● Comprises of 18 metal discs mounted eccentrically on a shaft at varying degrees with each disc connected to a vertical rod passing through the upper frame of the stand.
● The apparatus is fixed to a wooden base.
● The 1st 4 rods are L-shaped that pass through the vertical guide and demonstrates the longitudinal wave motion.
● Both the longitudinal and transverse wave motion are seen when the hand crank is rotated.
