● Apparatus to illustrate expansion by heating and contraction by cooling.
● Comprises of a bar of iron 110 x 10mm (Length x Dia.) mounted on a wooden handle and a brass U-shape gauge also mounted on a wooden handle, which admits the bar lengthways and a hole which passes the bar endways when cold. On heating the bar, the same neither fits lengthways nor endways in the hole of the gauge.
